On Friday 10 April, we took part in a conference organised by the Government of Catalonia, ACCIÓ and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, dedicated to showcasing business opportunities in the security and defence sector in Catalonia. This is because the European Commission and the Spanish Government have identified these two sectors as one of the key priorities for the European Union’s industrial development in the coming years, given the current geopolitical context.

It was a highly enriching event that highlighted the strategic role of Catalan industry in fields such as AI, robotics, cybersecurity, semiconductors, drones and dual-use technologies, as well as the opportunities opening up for industrial companies wishing to diversify or grow within this ecosystem.

During the event, the following were discussed:

✅ Funding opportunities and public support at European and national level

✅ Real-life case studies of leading companies and inspiring experiences

✅ Action plans to boost the industrial ecosystem in Catalonia

✅ High-level networking opportunities with companies and institutions
